Hello, my name is Doug Compton. I am a Retired NorthTexas Firefighter & Retired Marine. I have been playing music and performing most of my life. I have played the bagpipes as a soloist and with Military/Police/Fire detailed Honor Guards. I am currently a bagpiper in Kaufman County serving the surrounding East Texas area.
If you have entertained the idea of having a bagpiper in your wedding, I have led brides down the aisle to tunes such as The Bridal March or Highland Cathedral. If you are a member of the of the military, police or fire department the Great Highland Bagpipes are traditionally associated with these professions and can add something special to your event.
There are many ways the bagpipes can be used in your ceremony, the decision of how much to include them is up to you. Whether your event is held in a chapel, cathedral or outdoors, the sound of the bagpipes are sure to add that "unique touch" to your ceremony.
